Join us for the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month for RhythmFamily Drum and Dance classes!
We will begin the afternoons with Paul Militello teaching the traditional rhythms of Mandeng music with the Djembe and Doundoun drums. Hand placement, technique, and specific rhythms will be shared.
All levels welcome!
Following will be a collaborative dance class taught by Asia Sikkila and Julie Kouyate to live drumming! This class will be a fusion of traditional and modern movements. Again, all levels welcome!
Wear comfortable clothing that allows expansive movement and bring water to hydrate.
Bring your djembe if you have one, dm if you want to rent a drum for $5, or purchase one.
20$ per class, drum and/or dance.
