Kim Pleasant
Kim Pleasant MA, LPC, CSAT, CET II
Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, including betrayal trauma, infidelity recovery, and couples therapy after relational rupture. Kim works with individuals and couples impacted by affairs, secrecy, compulsive sexual behaviors, and long-term trust violations.
Her work includes supporting betrayed partners experiencing trauma symptoms such as anxiety, depression, hyper vigilance, grief and loss of self. She also works with partners who have acted out, by helping them understand the impact of their choices, take responsibility and engage in accountability, empathy and repair.
Kim works with individuals and couples working towards rebuilding emotional and relational safety.
A core component of her work involves family-of-origin and developmental trauma, helping clients understand how early attachment experiences, unresolved loss, and learned coping strategies contribute to present-day relational patterns and dysfunctional behaviors. This deeper insight allows for meaningful, sustainable change rather than symptom-focused treatment alone.
Kim’s approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and nervous system–focused, integrating experiential and relational interventions.
In addition, Kim has extensive experience providing therapeutic intensives for individuals and couples, both in person and online. Therapeutic Intensives offer a focused, accelerated, high impact alternative to weekly therapy, allowing individuals and couples to experience meaningful progress in a condensed period of time. These intensive sessions, provide a highly personalized, private, and focused healing experience for individuals and couples ready to engage in deep, meaningful work.
I frequently collaborate with referring therapists and professionals as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
