In the busyness of daily life, it is easy to become disconnected from ourselves, moving from one task, responsibility, or worry to the next. Mindfulness offers a simple yet powerful way to return to the present moment and reconnect with what matters most.
In this four-week introductory course, we will explore the foundations of mindfulness meditation through guided practice, reflection, and discussion. Together, we will learn how to steady attention, cultivate greater awareness of the body and emotions, meet ourselves with kindness and compassion, and bring mindfulness into everyday life.
Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness of Breath and Body
Week 2- Being Fully Human: Mindfulness of Emotions
Week 3- The Wise Heart- Lovingkindness and Compassion
Week 4- Bringing Your Mindfulness Practice into the World
Whether you are completely new to meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice, this course offers a supportive space to slow down, listen inwardly, and begin the journey of coming home to yourself. Perfect for beginners and anyone seeking greater calm, clarity, and connection in their daily lives.
Your Facilitator:
Kira Elliott has been practicing mindfulness meditation for nearly 20 years and is currently completing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. A longtime student of mindfulness, compassion, and contemplative practice, she is passionate about helping others discover practical tools for living with greater presence, balance, and self-compassion.
Kira's teaching is grounded in the belief that mindfulness is not about becoming someone different, but about coming home to ourselves with kindness and curiosity. She creates a supportive and welcoming environment where participants can explore meditation in a way that is accessible, practical, and meaningful for everyday life.
