A 4 week Meditation Series, Sundays, 9/13 - 10/4 (attend individually or full series)

Meditation is more than simply a way to relax or reduce stress. It can become a path toward a deeper spiritual practice — a journey of reconnecting with who you truly are, discovering meaning in life, and developing a connection with something greater than yourself.

In this introductory meditation experience, we will explore the journey of meditation step by step: preparation, meditation, and the deeper spiritual practice that can unfold beyond meditation.

Preparation is an important part of this process because the body and mind need to learn how to work together. During this experience, we will use Tibetan singing bowls filled with water as a bridge into meditation. Many people describe these unique vibrations as resembling dolphin sounds. The sound helps create focus, brings awareness into the present moment, and helps participants transition away from everyday thoughts and into a meditative state.

We will then experience a gentle guided meditation called the Sand Person. In this visualization, you will imagine yourself lying in warm sand. Gradually, your body becomes part of the sand and dissolves into the elements. From this feeling of freedom and transformation, you may experience yourself moving like a bird through the sky and then diving into the water like a seabird moving between air and ocean. This meditation is a gradual journey designed to help you explore a deeper sense of freedom, connection, and awareness.

I will also share the metaphor of the silver thread — an ancient spiritual image representing the connection between our true self and our soul. For me, this represents the connection that helps us remember who we truly are and discover a deeper relationship with the Divine, however each person understands it.

My own meditation journey changed my life. It helped me reconnect with myself, find direction, and understand the importance of living authentically. Through meditation and spiritual practice, I discovered that meaning, peace, and a deeper connection can be cultivated within.

My intention is to share meditation as a practical spiritual practice and provide tools that people can continue using independently in their own lives. This is an invitation to begin your own journey inward and discover what meditation can open within you.

No previous meditation experience is required. Everyone is welcome.

Facilitator Bio, Viktoriya Starr:

I am a registered nurse with 23 years of experience, primarily in cardiology, while also working in various areas of nursing throughout my career. At one point, I became a certified Healing Touch practitioner, exploring wellness-oriented approaches to support healing and balance. My journey led me to seek a deeper understanding beyond these practices and toward an ascetic spiritual path focused on self-discipline and exploring states of awareness beyond the physical body and ordinary consciousness. I studied the foundations of autogenic training developed by Dr. Johannes Schultz and developed my own gentle, body-focused approach to self-regulation and relaxation. This became a foundation for exploring meditation practices as a bridge toward deeper states of awareness and spiritual practice. Through my meditation practice, I discovered that sound meditation with singing bowls can help cultivate focused awareness, allowing individuals to develop greater control over their attention and move from mental activity toward deeper states of meditation. My mission is to share meditation practices with my community that encourage self-reliance, inner awareness, and the ability to carry these tools into everyday life without dependence on outside sources.
