My yoga journey started years ago as something I did reluctantly. It was something my mom wanted us to do together, and I love spending time with her, so I said yes. Truthfully, I was in the middle of a love affair with high-intensity workouts and adrenaline. Yoga felt...slow.
Somewhere along the way, that once-a-week class became something I craved and suddenly, I was practicing daily and signing up for teacher training. I discovered yoga was about so much more than flexibility and physical strength - it was about the connection between movement, breath, the nervous system, and creating space for healing.
And that is how I design my classes. Beginning slowly, connecting breath and movement then building into a one-breath, one-movement flow that creates heat and strength, and gradually slowing things back down with longer, more intentional holds creating an organic shift into a nourishing shavasana, where cool lavender towels invite your nervous system to fully exhale.
